Terms of Service
Last updated: April 1, 2026
1. Preamble
INTEK CENTER SASU ("the Company"), registered with the Bordeaux Trade and Companies Register (RCS) under number 844 849 174, with its registered office at 369Q Avenue de Verdun, 33700 Mérignac, France, operates the PrintFix service accessible at printfix.app ("the Service").
The Service provides diagnostic and reset tools for Epson printer waste ink counters. It consists of a marketing website, a client dashboard, and a desktop agent application. Full legal identification is available on our Disclaimer & Legal Notices page.
By creating an account, downloading the desktop agent, or making a purchase, the User accepts these Terms of Service in full, without reservation. If the User does not agree, they must not use the Service.
2. Definitions
- Service: The PrintFix platform, including the website at printfix.app, the client dashboard, the desktop agent, all related APIs, and any future applications or features.
- Reset Key: A unique digital product (format PF-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) purchased by the User that enables one or more waste ink counter resets on compatible Epson printers.
- Desktop Agent: The PrintFix application installed on the User's computer that communicates with Epson printers over the local WiFi network or USB connection using the SNMP protocol.
- Account: The User's personal space, secured by credentials, providing access to purchased keys, invoices, support, and account settings.
- User: Any natural or legal person who accesses or uses the Service, whether or not they have created an Account.
3. Service Description
PrintFix allows Users to:
- Diagnose (free): Download the desktop agent, scan the local network for Epson printers, and read the current waste ink counter level.
- Trial reset (free, one-time): Reset the waste ink counter to approximately 90% on a single printer, once per printer serial number.
- Full reset (paid): Purchase a Reset Key, enter it in the desktop agent, and reset the waste ink counter to zero via SNMP over WiFi or USB.
The Service communicates with printers using SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol), a standard, public, and openly documented network protocol. The Company does not access, modify, or circumvent any digital rights management (DRM) or technological protection measure.
The Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, including supported printer models, features, or technical specifications, without prior notice or compensation.
4. Account Creation and Security
Access to paid features requires creating an Account using an email address and password, or via Google Sign-In. The User warrants that the information provided is accurate, complete, and up to date.
The User is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials and for all activity occurring under their Account, including purchases. In case of suspected unauthorized access, the User must notify the Company immediately via the in-app support module.
The Company reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate any Account at its sole discretion, without notice or compensation, particularly in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
5. Pricing and Payment
5.1. Pricing
Reset Keys are sold as one-time purchases (no subscription). Prices are displayed in Euros (EUR) on the website. The payment processor automatically converts the amount to the User's local currency at checkout at the prevailing exchange rate. The Company reserves the right to modify prices at any time without prior notice. The applicable price is the one displayed at the time of purchase.
5.2. Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. The Company does not store, process, or have access to credit card numbers or payment credentials. By making a purchase, the User also agrees to Stripe's Terms of Service. The Company may change payment processors at any time.
5.3. Invoices and Tax
A PDF invoice is generated automatically for each purchase and is available in the User's dashboard. Invoices include applicable VAT calculated based on the User's location: French VAT for France, EU One-Stop-Shop (OSS) VAT for other EU member states, or VAT-exempt for non-EU countries (Article 259 B du CGI). The User is responsible for any additional local taxes that may apply in their jurisdiction.
6. Right of Withdrawal and Refund Policy
6.1. Waiver of Right of Withdrawal
Reset Keys are digital content supplied on a non-tangible medium. By completing a purchase, the User expressly acknowledges and consents that:
- The digital content is made available immediately upon payment;
- The User expressly waives the 14-day right of withdrawal provided by Article L221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code and Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU, as the performance of the digital content has begun with the User's prior express consent and acknowledgment that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal.
6.2. Voluntary Refund Policy
Despite the waiver above, the Company voluntarily offers the following refund policy as a commercial gesture, which does not constitute a contractual obligation, a legal right, or a precedent for future claims:
- Unused key, within 14 days of purchase: Full refund via the "Request Refund" button in the dashboard.
- Firmware incompatibility not detected before purchase: Full refund upon request if the User's printer firmware blocks the reset and the free diagnostic tool failed to detect this incompatibility prior to purchase.
- Used key: No refund is possible once a Reset Key has been used to perform a successful reset, as the digital service has been fully and irreversibly executed.
- Partial reset or failure: If the reset fails due to a technical issue attributable to the Service (not firmware blocking or network issues), the Company will, at its sole discretion, either provide a replacement key or a refund.
Refunds are processed via Stripe to the original payment method within 5-10 business days. The Company reserves the right to refuse a refund in case of suspected abuse, fraud, or repeated refund requests.
7. User Obligations and Warranties
By using the Service, the User represents and warrants that:
- They are the owner of, or have legal authorization to service, the printer on which they use the Service.
- They understand that resetting the waste ink counter does not replace the physical maintenance or replacement of ink pads. If the pads are physically saturated, there is a risk of ink overflow that could damage the printer or surrounding property. The User assumes full and sole responsibility for the physical condition and maintenance of their printer.
- They will not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract the SNMP keys, reset protocols, proprietary algorithms, or any other trade secrets embedded in the desktop agent or the Service.
- They will not share, resell, distribute, sublicense, or transfer Reset Keys to third parties.
- They will not use the Service for any purpose that is illegal, fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- They will not use automated tools, scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or interact with the Service.
- They have read and understood the physical ink pad warning detailed in Section 3 of our Disclaimer and accept the associated risks.
8. Intellectual Property and Trade Secrets
All elements of the Service — including but not limited to software, source code, object code, algorithms, SNMP keys and reset configurations, website content, desktop agent, documentation, logos, trademarks, and user interface design — are the exclusive intellectual property of the Company and are protected by French and international intellectual property laws.
The SNMP keys (readKey, writeKey) and reset configurations for each printer model constitute trade secrets within the meaning of EU Directive 2016/943 and French Law No. 2018-670. Any unauthorized access, extraction, disclosure, or use of these trade secrets constitutes a criminal offense and may result in civil and criminal proceedings.
The User is granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the desktop agent solely for its intended purpose. This license does not transfer any intellectual property rights.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1. Obligation of Means
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". The Company is bound by an obligation of means only, not of result. The Company does not guarantee that the reset will succeed on all printer models, firmware versions, or network configurations.
9.2. Exclusions of Liability
The Company shall not be held liable for any damage, loss, or claim arising from or related to:
- A firmware update by Epson or any third party that blocks the reset after the User's purchase.
- Physical damage to the printer, property, or any other equipment caused by saturated ink pads, ink overflow, or the User's failure to maintain their printer.
- Inability to use the Service due to the User's network configuration, firewall, ISP restrictions, operating system incompatibility, or any other factor outside the Company's control.
- Service interruptions for maintenance, updates, security patches, or any reason beyond the Company's reasonable control.
- Loss of data, unauthorized access to the User's account resulting from the User's failure to secure their credentials.
- Any use of the Service in violation of these Terms.
- Events of force majeure as defined by Article 1218 of the French Civil Code.
9.3. Cap on Liability
In any event, the Company's total cumulative liability for all claims of any kind arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by the User to the Company in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
The Company shall under no circumstances be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business opportunity, loss of goodwill, cost of procurement of substitute services, or any other intangible loss.
This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. It does not apply in case of gross negligence (faute lourde) or willful misconduct (dol) by the Company, or where limitation is prohibited by applicable mandatory consumer protection law.
10. Indemnification
The User agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- The User's use or misuse of the Service.
- The User's violation of these Terms.
- The User's violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Any claim by a third party related to the User's use of the Service, including claims from printer manufacturers.
- Physical damage resulting from the User's failure to maintain their printer's ink pads.
11. Personal Data
The collection and processing of personal data are governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
12. User-Generated Content
When using the support module, the User may submit text messages and file attachments. The User retains ownership of their content but grants the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process this content solely for the purpose of providing support and improving the Service. The User warrants that their content does not infringe any third-party rights.
13. Account Termination
The User may delete their Account at any time from the Settings page in the dashboard. Upon deletion:
- Personal data is anonymized or deleted within 90 days (except where legal retention applies).
- Reset Keys and reset logs are preserved in anonymized form for audit and fraud prevention purposes.
- Invoices are retained for 10 years as required by French law (Article L123-22 du Code de commerce).
The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate any Account immediately and without prior notice in case of: violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, abuse of the refund policy, attempts to reverse-engineer the Service, or any other behavior that threatens the integrity or security of the Service.
14. Service Availability and Maintenance
The Company endeavors to maintain the Service available 24/7 but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, updates, emergency security patches, or factors beyond the Company's control (hosting provider outages, DDoS attacks, etc.). The Company shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by such interruptions.
15. Modifications to These Terms
The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes that affect the User's rights, the Company will make reasonable efforts to notify registered Users by email at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
16. Assignment
The Company may assign, transfer, or delegate any of its rights and obligations under these Terms to a third party (including in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets) without the User's prior consent. The User may not assign or transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms without the Company's prior written consent.
17. Support
For any question, issue, or request related to the Service, the User should use the in-app support module accessible from the dashboard. This is the primary and preferred communication channel.

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with French law.
For Users who qualify as consumers within the meaning of EU law, mandatory local consumer protection laws continue to apply in addition to French law, in accordance with Article 6(2) of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I).
In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to the following escalation procedure:
- Amicable resolution (mandatory): The parties shall first attempt to resolve the dispute amicably by written notice to the other party. The responding party shall have 30 days to propose a resolution.
- Mediation (optional for consumers): If amicable resolution fails, EU consumers may refer the dispute to a certified consumer mediator. The Company will communicate the name and contact details of the applicable mediator upon request, in accordance with Article L612-1 of the French Consumer Code. EU consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
- Jurisdiction: If no resolution is reached through the above procedures, exclusive jurisdiction is attributed to the competent courts within the jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal of Bordeaux, France, notwithstanding plurality of defendants or warranty claims.
18.2. Waiver of Class or Collective Proceedings
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the User agrees that any dispute resolution proceeding shall be conducted solely on an individual basis, and not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative action. The User waives the right to participate in or bring a class action, class arbitration, or any other representative proceeding against the Company. If this waiver is found unenforceable in a particular jurisdiction, the entirety of this arbitration/class action provision shall be severable and shall not affect the validity of the remaining Terms.
19. Miscellaneous
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely achieves the intended economic and legal effect.
- No waiver: The Company's failure or delay in enforcing any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between the User and the Company regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, or understandings.
- Third-party links: The Service may contain links to third-party websites. The Company is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party website.
